Earth Week at Warner Bros.

Making Stories Sustainably  / Posted on April 22, 2018

This Earth Week, we celebrated sustainability at work and beyond the studio gates with eco-friendly events that educated and entertained employees.

We kicked off the week with Meatless Monday where we served up vegetarian options that were super healthy for employees and our planet. On Wednesday, we partnered with Friends of the Los Angeles River, a local environmental nonprofit organization, and invited A Concrete River filmmaker Raphael Sbarge to educate over 75 employees with his film and 40 more volunteered later in the week, cleaning up the L.A. River.

On Friday, we hosted our annual Party for the Planet where over 1,000 employees engaged with sustainability-driven nonprofit organizations, vendors and studio departments, including Conservation International, Tesla, TreePeople and more. We swam in virtual reality, competed in eco-driven carnival games and enjoyed live music from local groups.

It was clear that Warner Bros. is committed to sustainability and motivates their employees.

At Warner Bros., we try to celebrate Earth Day every day with new on-lot initiatives including zero-waste stations and free reusable bottles for Burbank employees. In just six days, over 3,900 reusable bottles were distributed, reducing our waste and leading the way towards a greener future.
