Warner Bros. Makes an IMPACT this Giving Tuesday

On Giving Tuesday, Warner Bros. employees were ready to show their gratitude. Whether it was time, money, goods or the strength of their voice, WB employees came together on this global day of giving—and throughout the year—to make an impact in our community.

Members from Impact, WB’s Giving Program, celebrated Giving Tuesday by hosting the How Sweet It Is to Give event at the Burbank lot. At the event, WB employees mixed and mingled with 2019 Impact members, while showing their support for the 2019 Impact nonprofit partners. For any donations made to the six partner charities on Giving Tuesday, Impact double-matched each contribution, which made this season of giving extra sweet for these nonprofit partners. In addition to donations, Impact members showed their support by snapping and sharing an #UNselfie—an unselfish photo used to promote good in our community. Impact members shared these #UNselfies using the strength of their voice to advocate for their favorite 2019 Impact partner. It was uplifting to see WB employees from across the company celebrate and support these local nonprofits on the biggest fundraising day of the year.

Giving back is at the heart of what we do here at Warner Bros. With the Impact program, WB aims to empower employees to choose causes they care about and provide them with opportunities to make an impact on those organizations all year long.

At WB we value giving back to the community, so we make it a point to provide opportunities for our employees to give back all year long through Impact—WB’s Giving Program. Impact provides many ways for WB employees to support the communities in which they live and work. Through Impact, employees can have their donations to any registered charity matched $1-for-$1 by the company and receive $10 for every logged volunteer hour to donate to the charity of their choice.

Every year WB employees nominate six local nonprofit organizations to become Impact Partners. In 2019 WB’s Impact partners included A Place Called Home, Best Friends Animal Society, Children’s Hospital LA, Downtown Women’s Center, Los Angeles LGBT Center, and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Each partner supported a unique mission which gave employees a chance to find a cause that resonated with them and inspired them to give back in a big way. Throughout the year Impact members showed their support for these organizations by making charitable donations as well as giving their time through volunteer work.
