Girls Who Code Returns to Warner Bros.

Community Engagement  / Posted on September 6, 2018

This summer, the seven-week Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program returned to Warner Bros. for the second year in a row. Our WB Technology department, led by Chief Technology Officer Vicky Colf, hosted the young women from diverse backgrounds and provided them with the opportunity to receive in-depth coding experience, technology training and exposure to careers in technology and entertainment.

Following the success of last year’s program, this summer exceeded all expectations. Many of the students who participated in the Summer Immersion Program stated that their hands-on experience at Warner Bros. cemented a desire to pursue degrees and careers in technology.

We value every opportunity to provide access and resources to the next generation of storytellers and technologists. Our continued partnership with Girls Who Code, a nonprofit committed to closing the gender gap in technology, reflects an ongoing focus on investing in underrepresented communities.
